Put the route in your Navra library instead of hunting through message attachments at the meeting point. Import it before the group leaves coverage.
Navra practical guide / Reviewed 5 October 2026
Open GPS, Saved and Import route file in Navra. Bring a GPX route into your library, check its line and prepare the separate map download for a UAE drive.
The practical fit
A route file can arrive from a convoy lead, another navigation app or a Navra browser share page. Save the actual GPX file to your phone’s files first, then import it while signed in and connected.
Navra’s Saved library brings imported route files, recorded drives and saved pins together. After import, inspect the line: a familiar filename is not enough to establish that you have the latest version, the correct start or the intended direction.
For a Sweihan drive or a Shawka and Hajar trip, agree the route version and relevant waypoints with the organiser. An imported track describes a plan or previous journey; it cannot confirm current access or the suitability of every section.
What it solves
Put the route in your Navra library instead of hunting through message attachments at the meeting point. Import it before the group leaves coverage.
Open the imported item and inspect its map position, overall shape and start. Resolve a missing line or wrong location before the drive.
Keep the organiser’s date, direction and relevant trip notes alongside the plan. Different files with similar names may describe different journeys.
The route file supplies geometry. Offline map downloads supply the surrounding map; both need checking for the intended outing.
Saved routes
Saved is the import entry point. The screenshot shows custom route planning; an imported GPX is inspected on the map after it has been added to your library. Current feature and plan availability is shown in the app.

How it fits
Save the GPX attachment to your phone. For a Navra shared route, open its browser page and select Download GPX. A screenshot or ordinary web page is not a route file.
Open GPS, then Saved. Select Import route file and choose the GPX from the phone’s file picker. Sign in and stay connected for the import.
Check the filename in the Import route file confirmation and select Import. Wait for the item to appear in your route library.
Open the saved item and show it on the map. Check the start, finish, direction and waypoints with the organiser; do not assume the file contains every briefing detail.
Download the required surrounding area with Navra Pro and check it on your phone. Keep route import and offline-map preparation as separate checks.
If import fails, check that the file is the actual GPX, contains usable route information and fits the app’s file and storage limits. Ask the sender for a fresh export rather than renaming a different file type.
Straight answers
Save the GPX file to your phone, sign in to Navra, then open GPS, Saved and Import route file. Choose the file, confirm Import and inspect the saved route on the map.
GPX import is in the free core app, subject to route-storage limits. Pro expands route storage and provides offline map downloads, terrain and 3D maps.
Open the shared route page, select Download GPX and import that file through GPS, Saved and Import route file. The web link and GPX file serve different purposes.
The import flow saves the selected file to your signed-in route library. Complete it while connected, check the line and prepare any offline map downloads before the drive.
No. A GPX can contain tracks, routes or waypoints, but it may omit the meeting arrangements, driver requirements and local context. Confirm those with the organiser.
Install Navra on iPhone or Android. Import the GPX before departure and prepare the surrounding map with Pro when you need offline access.
